BUDDHA'S first foal, a filly, arrives in Florida

The first reported foal sired by grade I winner Buddha is a filly born Jan. 17 at John Penn's Pennston Farm near Ocala, Fla. Bred by the farm, the filly is a half-sister to millionaire License Fee and is out of the Deputy Minister mare Star Deputy, who is booked to Essence of Dubai. Buddha (Unbridled's Song--Cahooters, by Storm Cat) won the Wood Memorial Stakes (G1).
