Bloodstock agent Baden P. “Buzz” Chace, agent, purchased a handsome dark bay or brown weanling by first-crop sire Closing Argument for $185,000 to top the second session of the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Co.’s fall mixed sale on Tuesday.
Out of unraced Autumn Music, by Unbridled’s Song, the session topper is a half brother to stakes winners Adore You and Vivaldi Girl. Chace bought the colt as agent on behalf of L & F Stables, a pinhooking partnership of Lewis Lakin and Terry Finley, from the consignment of Beth Bayer, agent.
“He’s just a nice individual,” said Chace. “He stood out.”
