9/27 - Hill ‘n’ Dale adds Group 3 winner Seeking the Best

Hill 'n' Dale Farms announced today the addition of Seeking the Best to their stallion roster for the upcoming breeding season. Seeking the Best is by Leading Sire Seeking the Gold out of Graded Stakes winner Mackie, by Summer Squall. Mackie, who sold as a broodmare for $5,000,000, is out of Broodmare of the Year Glowing Tribute.
Seeking the Best sold as a yearling at the 2002 Keeneland September Sale for $1,000,000 to Kazuko Yoshida. A Group Stakes-Winning Millionaire in Japan, Seeking the Best was a sprinter/miler who from 5 furlongs to a mile, capturing stakes at 7 and 8 furlongs. He retires sound with career earnings of over $1.8 million.

The fact that he was a million-dollar sales yearling, along with his looks, pedigree and performance, give him all the tools to become an outstanding sire."
Seeking the Best will stand the 2008 breeding season for a fee of $7,500 live foal as the property of a syndicate.
