A son of the legendary Theatrical (Ire), Shakespeare brings impeccable credentials on his resume. He won 7 of 8 career starts, including the Woodbine Mile [G1] and Turf Classic [G1].
He began his career with 5 straight victories, including a stakes-record performance in the Belmont Breeders' Cup H. [G2], and a defeat of future Breeders' Cup Turf [G1] winner English Channel in the Turf Classic [G1].
Shakespeare returned in 2007 to defeat subsequent Breeders' Cup Mile [G1] winner Kip Deville with a scintillating stretch run to capture the Woodbine Mile [G1].
